The Little Things

Ahhh, crayons, such magical pieces of color! No matter what your age, these little snippets of art can make your day!  I created an art spot for Abby and Claire on the porch. The sun was bright, but I love the washed out effect of these photos! They spent about 2 hours out there coloring....it is nice to see that some childhood  activities can stand the test of time!

What to do on a SNOW (not really) Day!

So, the big snow day was not as big as predicted, but it is sunny outside and the rain has stopped and we did get the day off, so,,,who can complain? After 15 minutes of trying to sled, make snowballs, find icicles, and any other snow related activity you can think of, the girls made their way back to the house for a movie, hot chocolate and popcorn. Here are the mini-marshmallows being used as they should be....crazy teeth!

Freeze Frame..... Sweet Faces...

I took this photo after a soccer team dinner at Copollas. The girls Abby, Megan, Casey, Ruby and Grace are sweaty, and tired, but still manage to smile for the camera. I love this stage. I am all too worried that pretty soon, the sweetness and the genuine friendships will make way for moodiness and drama.. So while it lasts, I will enjoy these sweet moments of childhood!

Why is the easy stuff always so difficult?

So my smartphone has been giving me problems. I took it to the Verizon store yesterday to have it checked...they updated it and sent me on my way. 24 hours later...it is frozen again...SOOOO.
I go back to the Verizon store....this time they clean sweep my phone. While this is kind of a pain, what really stinks is that I can't remember my password to my google account I do not use. It is on my phone and it is automatically linked to my computer. It is written down somewhere, but I can't find the notebook with the password. SOOO....
the salesman sends a recovery request to goggle and tells me to go home and wait.........
And when I get home, I find the notebook, type in the password and it works fine... and that would be a happy ending if that were the ending...but no...
'Several hours later I get an email from Google saying you need to submit in triplicate why we should allow you to use your Google email since we have to help you recover your password.
All I need to do is send an email back to a person saying....sorry, my fault, I just couldn't remember the password, but I found it and all is good....

but no... now ensues a long painful process of trying to recover a password and verifying that I am who I am and all I want to do is send emails, make phone calls, take pictures and blog to my friends....

so the plot thickens... stay tuned!

Sleeping Abby

www,shutterbug67.blogspot.com
Here is a photo I took of Abby the night before Christmas Eve. She had fallen asleep with her Pinkles and she just looked so sweet. I had to turn on a light to get her face, but luckily she didn’t wake up!

A New Year 2013.. A New Workshop...

I audited a class this fall from a really great lady and photographer! As the new year starts, I am taking the class for real... very scary..especially since now I will be critiqued...yikes... so much to think about and so much pressure. I hope though to get better with each photo.. I mean it is a new year right.. resolutions, big dream and hopes...

You can check out my progress here, you sweet 6 followers that I have..., or I also added a new blog...

We will see, if I can get my act together. All of this would be so much easier if my mobile phone and my blogs would sync up, but that would just be tooooo easy, now wouldn't it.

Here is her blog: http://www.karenrussell.typepad.com/

and here is her photography page if any of you are interested..

She truly is an amazing person and she makes me strive to be a better person, which is something we all want to be.
