Katniss in the woods

Here is Abby, whose favorite thing to do in the woods of Beech Mountain is to go exploring. She LOVES to spend hours outside making up games and going to secret forts. She entertained herself, while we waited for the boys and she also entertained me by letting me take some pictures. My zoom is not the best and doesn't allow for super sharp photos, but I like them all the same, especially since I got a few "true" smiles!

Ice..Ice..Baby!

After a beautiful 60 degree Saturday, we welcomed in Tuesday with "COLD" rain. Don't you just love that term? Like rain is ever hot! And believe it or not... WE HAD SCHOOL!!! Ice all over the trees, little patches of sleet and snow and yet we went to school.

So I took pictures, because ice is always so pretty on trees, except when it is tearing down branches and cutting off your power, but today it didn't and since I had so many I liked, I decided to share them on this blog.
P.S. Sorry Corey for the bland watermark. I posted them in Picasa and blogged from there. I didn't have the energy to go into Photoshop!

Crepe Myrtle Berries..

This one reminds me of rolling ocean waves...

Love, True Love.....

We headed over to the Melang's for a little Heart Day cookie decorating! At first, everyone seemed to be so interested, as you can tell by their serious faces.... well the boys lasted about 5 minutes and then they were out of there, about the time the icing ran out!  Chloe and Abby hung around long enough to finish a few cookies and then, they two were out of there, off on some adventure. But not to worry, Kelly and I amused ourselves with our witty humor and a few beverages, oh and she made these incredible cauliflower breadsticks! Not a bad way to spend an afternoon!

Working hard at the Melang bakery!~

Funny faces all around..notice the photo bomber?

 Too cute!

Ellis using just a little too much icing!

 Isn't this just too cute?

Busy at work!

 A master decorator!

 Somebody got flowers!

 The icing carcasses!

This is how the decorating ended, with a good old game of tag!

Have a Heart!

Well, leave it to the Glazener girls to wait until the last minute to get things done. But that is how we roll! After school, Abby and I went online to find some cool Valentine's to print out! We found 2 cool websites to  print from.

One was http://www.artsyfartsymama.com/2012/02/owl-valentines-printable.html, which were adorable!

And the other ones were from:http://www.sisterssuitcaseblog.com/

Then came the popcorn balls, brownies and cupcakes! I told you she goes all out! And this was AFTER a soggy soccer practice and WHILE the Tar Heels were playing DOOK!
So here are a few pictures from the preparation!!
After the blending of the balls!
 Sweet Smile!
