Snow again, really?

Okay, so I think my last post was about snow, and I find it really discerning that this post is about the fluffy white stuff. I am all for winter and sledding and snowballs and snow cream, but enough is enough!! I an looking forward to days of short sleeves and warm breezes, pretty flowers and sunny days, bike rides and eating outside. But I guess as long as I am watching the winter Olympics, I shouldn't complain. I know next year when we see not a single flake of snow, I will think back with fondness of the snowy season. For now.....really, more snow?

What's next?

Oh, the wintery weather continues. I can't believe we already know we will not have school tomorrow. The "experts" are predicting a big mess. Lot's of freezing rain, and sleet with a little ice thrown in for good measure!! Oh, JOY! So, Abby has been in school for a total of 5 hours this week. What we will do with our free time, I am not sure. I know it will have something to do with lots of crafts and probably some "kitty" games. Stay tuned for a detailed review of the Storm of the Century - Take 2!!

Ahhh, the Snow!!

Okay, so I am all for snow...snow cream, snow angels, snow men, and of course the occasional snow day. But with the huge amount of snow that we recieved this weekend and the threat of freezing rain tonight and more wintry mix on the way, I must say that there is such a thing as too many snow days!!!

We missed school today and we are all set to miss it tomorrow. I am not sure what the rest of the week holds, but I guess all you can do is make the best of it!
We have been sledding with our friends the Gaillards, and also the Vaughans. We have made crafts, watched movies and the adults even got a chance to sit on the driveway and chat!

I know we be saying some choice words during our shortened spring break and our late days in June, but then I try to look at it from my sweet daughter's point of view!!

" Snow is better than Spring Break!!" and to an eight year old...it is.
